This 24% lead crystal trinket box was made in Poland. A beautifully crafted trinket box. Fluted sides with frosted stripes that wrap to the top of the box. The top of the box has a delicately designed bow.
No cracks or chips. One imperfection on side in a frosted area is shown in the photo.
Exterior measurements 3 ¼ inches wide on each side and 3 ½ inches tall.
Interior measurements 2 ¾ inches wide on each side and 2 ¼ inches tall.
Weighs 27 ounces.

What difference between glass and crystal?
While cut glass has been around for over 2000 years, crystal has only been in existence since the middle of the 17th century. Crystal contains lead oxide which dramatically increases its weight as well as improves its luster and clarity. Lead oxide also softens the glass, allowing it to be hand cut with diamond tipped wheels, creating elaborate surface patterns to reflect light, with almost diamond-like brilliance. Most metal oxides color the glass, whereas lead oxide does not.
What is fully-leaded or full-lead crystal?
Fully-leaded or full-lead crystal has at least 24% lead oxide content, with the maximum being 33%.
How should I care for lead crystal pieces?
Lead crystal pieces are softer, which makes it easier for the artisan to cut. This softness makes it prone to fine scratches on its surfaces. Lead crystal pieces should be stored in such a way, so as to reduce the chances of scratching, chipping and other blemishing. Additional care tips:
• Never wash in a dishwasher
• Never use a damp cloth for drying
• Never stack lead crystal pieces
• Never expose crystal to boiling water or the freezer
