Hello!!!! I have recently towed home an International 435 square baler (see picture) that "worked great" when parked in the weeds 15yrs+ ago. Id love to resurrect this machine for the homestead and start learning the ropes on "How To Make Hay" before dropping thousands on much nicer/newer equipment.
I'm hoping that someone, someone's dad or granddaddy, may have a couple parts in particular laying around the barn somewhere collecting dust.
I'm pretty positive it'll need new cutting knives (see picture #2). I don't mind going out buying new knives but Case/IH wants $300 for a pack of 10 and I don't even know if the machine works good enough to buy parts that may never get used.
It'll also need some new pickup teeth in spots (see picture #3)
Maybe a shop/owners manual??
I'm not looking for free handouts, just a young guy getting into farming that could use some help.
